A QUEST for a Bulwell man to receive justice goes on – three years after his mystery death.
Mark Newcombe (27) was found lying on Spring Road, off Bulwell's Highbury Road, just over three years ago – on July 29 2005.

His body was discovered less than a mile from the home on Bannerman Road which he shared with his fiancee, Collette Brown (35), and their two children, Nicolle and Tyler.

A post-mortem examination revealed that Mr Newcombe had multiple injuries, having been hit by at least one vehicle.

But no-one has ever been arrested in connection with Mr Newcombe's death.

His father, Paul (52), of Mapperley, said: "We will be visiting Mark's tree, which we planted at Carlton Cemetery, and laying flowers there.

"We are still hoping that, sooner or later, someone will come forward. We just want justice for Mark."

Sgt Beverley Slack, of the police, who is leading the investigation, said: "We hope the three-year anniversary will spur someone to come forward and tell us what they know.

"We are still appealing for the driver of a small blue vehicle, believed to be a Peugeot, and the driver of a red Ford Escort, both seen driving down Spring Road at the time, to come forward."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 0115 9670999, extension 2225, or the free and confidential 'Crimestoppers' on 0800 555111.
