POLICE are appealing for help after a 19-year-old man was attacked on Bulwell Bogs recreation park.
The victim suffered a slash wound to the head and was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre, where he was later said to be 'stable.'

The assault happened at about 3.30 pm on Wednesday, minutes after the victim was involved in an argument in Bulwell's Commercial Road at the junction with Thames Street.

A man and a woman are being sought by police in connection with the attack.

The man is white, aged between 20 and 30, 6 ft tall, of slim build and with a bald or shaven head. The woman is also white, with gingery-blonde
hair and was wearing a cream jacket. Both were riding bikes.

Officers of the police underwater unit searched part of the River Leen for the weapon used.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0115 9670999, extension 4532, or the free and confidential 'Crimestoppers' on 0800 555111.
