STAB wounds to the chest caused the death of a man found in a garden on Bulwell Hall Estate's Caldon Green, an inquest heard.
Mark Beard (25), died in Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre after being discovered by a member of the public at 3.20 pm on Wednesday July 9.

Nottinghamshire Coroner Dr Nigel Chapman said Mr Beard's mother, Janet Mountain, had identified his body at Leicester Royal Infirmary on Friday July 11.

Dr Chapman adjourned the inquest to await the outcome of legal proceedings.

Pascal Simpson (25), of Western Boulevard, Nottingham, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday, charged with the murder of Mr Beard.

During the five-minute hearing, Simpson spoke only to confirm his name.

Judge Michael Stokes QC remanded him into custody until his next court appearance on Monday October 6, when he is expected to make a plea.

If a trial is necessary, this would take place from January 6 next year.
