BULWELL pensioner Steven Limb could not run his usual stall at Nottingham's Riverside Festival when the annual event took place last weekend.
This was because his car, containing all his wares and equipment, was stolen from outside his home in Northall Avenue on Crabtree Farm Estate.
Mr Limb (82) said it was a devastating shock when he got up at 5 am to prepare for his regular 'Trip Down Memory Lane' pitch at the festival to discover that his Ford Sierra had gone.
The car contained a big collection of memorabilia for the stall, believed to have been worth between £400 and £500. This included books about steam engines, old chamber pots and irreplaceable old photos.
Mr Limb has had a stall at the festival for about five years and has attended the event for about 30 years.
To make matters worse, Mr Limb, who is profoundly deaf, had left his new hearing aid in the car.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact police on 0115 9670999.
