A BULWELL Hall Estate man's attempts to trace long-lost members of his family will reach its climax this weekend.
James Gibson (51), of Grindon Crescent, is to meet his mother, Wendy Bone, for the first time since he was only 18 months old.

He is travelling with his brother, Robert, who lives in Nottingham's Meadows area, for the very special reunion in County Durham, where Mrs Bone lives. "It is sure to be a very emotional occasion," says James.

After being adopted, James has spent most of his life in Nottingham. He moved to Bridlington, in East Yorkshire, for a time but returned last year after his marriage broke down.

James has already tracked down Robert and three sisters – Barbara, who lives in Somercotes, Derbyshire, Audrey, of Bells Lane, Cinderhill, and Amanda, of Pinxton, also in Derbyshire.

He is still trying to get in touch with another brother, Philip, who is believed to live in the Birmingham area.

James did not even know any of his siblings existed until he learned from a long-lost aunt that he was not his mother's only child.

The vital breakthrough came when a woman he met in a shop put him in touch with a cousin.

About 30 people attended a big family party at Nottingham's Whitemoor pub last Sunday.
