A MAN appeared in court this week, charged with the murder on Bulwell Hall Estate that was reported on the front page of last week's Dispatch.
Pascal Simpson (25) is accused of murdering Mark Beard (also 25), who was found stabbed in the garden of a semi-detached house on Caldon Green.

Mr Beard, who was discovered by a member of the public at 3.20 pm on Wednesday last week, died later in Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre.

Simpson, of Western Boulevard, Nottingham, did not enter a plea when he appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court.

He has now been remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday July 28.

Sgt Richard Ravasio, of Bulwell police, convened an open meeting at Bulwell Healthy Living Centre on Lawton Drive yesterday (Thursday) to reassure estate residents after Mr Beard's violent death.

Robin Robinson, chairman of the estate's tenants and residents association, said residents had been "shocked and scared" by what happened.
