Lidl set to unveil plans for new Hucknall store
The new store will be on Watnall Road, on the site of the current Hucknall Town Football Club ground and would include a new store, car park and reportedly create up to 40 new jobs.
The football club is set to move to a new ground close to the current site.

Hide AdLidl wants to get public opinion on the plans before it submits the final plans.
And there has already been a mixed response from the town's residents on social media.
Some are in favour as there is currently no supermarket at that end of the town and it means jobs being created.
But others are worried about the potential for increasing the traffic issues the is already suffering from, particularly during the weekday evening rush hour.

Hide AdSeveral residents have shared their views on the Spotted: Hucknall Facebook page.
Natalee Bestwick wrote: "I like the idea, for us that don't drive, Aldi or Tesco can be a far walk so would make it easier for some. Definitely agree with the traffic side of it though."
And Corena Briley put: "I welcome it as we have nothing this end of Hucknall, and more jobs."
But Chloe Mae Woodward wrote: "Traffic around 4-6pm is awful as it is and not keen on looking at it out my bedroom window either."

Hide AdHucknall Town supports the proposal as its move to its new ground is dependent on the success of Lidl's application.
The club said moving to the new ground would allow it to expand as a community venue as well as providing facilities for the Hucknall Warriors youth team and a proposed new ladies team.
