Advice by e-mail for firms
BUDDING entrepreneurs looking to set up new businesses in Hucknall and Bulwell are being urged to buck the economic downturn and take advantage of e-mail advice from the taxman.
For locals launching small or medium size enterprise (SME) or expanding their business, there are many things to consider, including the tax implications.
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is inviting small and medium-sized businesses to sign up to receive regular e-mails giving help and support.
“Starting and running a business is challenging and HMRC recognises that its customers sometimes need help to understand their tax affairs,” said Colin Ford, HMRC’s head of SME education design. “Signing up is a simple process. We do not ask for any personal information beyond a name, e-mail address and phone number.
“At a time when businesses need all the help they can get, HMRC is keen to ensure SMEs have the tax information they need to make it easier.”
