Autumn fair brings summer sun
BLUE skies and sunny weather made the East Side Methodist Church autumn fair in Hucknall more of a summer event last Saturday.
The attraction brought families outdoors to sample all that the fair had on offer.
And there was plenty to entertain and create interest among its visitors at the Cavendish Close church.
Knitted goods, craft items, cakes and refreshments were all on offer in a bid to boost church funds.
Jean Allcock and Margaret Craig were just two of the church supporters who helped on the day .

The pair are pictured outside the venue using an umbrella to shield themselves from the sun, while Maureen Newton, Hucknall’s local-history bursar, helped set up several displays inside.
East Side Methodist Church, which opened on its current site on October 3 1970, was created on Easter Sunday 1963 when the Bethesda Methodist Church and Cavendish Street Methodist Church, known locally as ‘The Cock and Hen’, were merged.
