Christmas cheer raises £625 in just TWO hours

A CHRISTMAS fair held by Hucknall Salvation Army Corps raised a total of £625 in just two hours.

Thanks for the success of the event, held at the High Street hall, are due to a dedicated team of volunteers, with a dog named Levi as the mascot.

The corps commanding officer, Major Rena Young, said: “It was a very good effort on the part of everyone involved.

“We have some very hard-working people within the corps and the excellent outcome of the fair proves the point.”

Well-stocked stalls sold toiletries, cakes, bric-a-brac, books and gifts, while refreshments were also provided. Proceeds were for general corps funds.
