Don’t miss a Newstead Abbey Christmas

THIS weekend is the last chance to visit Newstead Abbey during its Christmas event.

Visitors will get the chance to see the historic abbey decorated with traditional flowers and festive foliage to celebrate the season.

Santa was just one of the many guests last weekend but this will be the last time the famous man in red will be touring the abbey gardens and house as he needs to get ready for the big day.

“Father Christmas spent time meeting and greeting our young visitors,” said site manager Penny Beniston.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see Christmas at Newstead which runs again this weekend from 11 am to 4 pm, along with a festive craft fair.

Entrance costs £6 for parking which gives you free entrance to the craft fair with admission to the house priced at £5 adults, £1 children.

But if you quote ‘Christmas Boatswain’ at the gate, tickets are half price.
