VOLUNTEERS keen to revive Hucknall town centre are disappointed that an arts and crafts Christmas Market set to bing festive cheer next Friday and a week tomorrow (December 7 and 8) has been axed due to a lack of interest.

The market was planned to run alongside the existing Friday market on Hucknall Market Place with an additional date on the Saturday with stalls crammed with perfect Christmas gifts.

Any craft enthusiasts who would like to be involved in getting this event up and running for Christmas 2013, and in the idea of running similar events throughout the year, for example at Easter, should contact the Ashfield markets manager on 01623 551385.
