Following 1981’s debut album ‘Penthouse And Pavement’ and work on their side project BEF, Heaven 17 recorded their second album, ‘The Luxury Gap’, in 1983.

Considered a pop masterpiece, the album charted at number 4 in the UK Album Chart, making it the band’s biggest-selling album (certified platinum in 1984). The album features the hit singles ‘Temptation’ (a duet between Glenn Gregory and Carol Kenyon which charted at number 2 in the UK Singles Chart), ‘Come Live With Me’ (UK no5) and ‘Crushed By The Wheels Of Industry’ (UK no17).
