HUCKNALL’S high-achieving SARAH TOPLEY (pictured) not only scooped an impressive cache of A-level results, but she has just been awarded ‘Head Girl’ status by New College Nottingham (ncn).

Sarah’s efforts at A-levels, which resulted in A*, A, A and C in art and design (double award), English language and history, have been recognised with an award by the High Pavement City Sixth Form Academy in Nottingham where she studied.

“It was completely unexpected but a lovely surprise to receive recognition for my hard work,” said Sarah, who is now studying architecture at Newcastle University.

“I really enjoyed my time at High Pavement, it has a vibrant, friendly atmosphere and tutors who are willing to go the extra mile to support you.

“It’s definitely been a good stepping stone for university.”

The awards were started by the High Pavement Society, which was founded in 1989 to recognise the long tradition of academic excellence associated with the name ‘High Pavement’.
