Local history on show at church’s autumn fair

A LOCAL history display will be included in an autumn fair being held by the East Side Methodist Church in Hucknall tomorrow (Saturday).

At the heart of the memorabilia and information on show at the Cavendish Close venue will be the Hucknall area of Butlers Hill.

Outside there will be various stalls with plants and cakes for sale, while a ‘book swap’ will allow visitors to exchange their favourite reads.

Children can join in the fun with games including a coin-toss challenge, tyre goals, duck shooting and guess the number of sweets in the jar.

There will also be face-painting and nail-painting and refreshments will be on sale throughout.

Organisers say the attraction will be on, come rain or shine, from 10 am.
