Memorial fundraiser now past £10,000 mark

A SPECIAL fundraising initiative set up in honour of a Bulwell couple killed in a tragic motorbike accident has now raised more than £10,000.

Every year, Janette Poyser, of Hucknall, along with a team of volunteers, hold a garden party and fundraiser in memory of Paul Basford and Tina Artingstall.

They died after a smash on the A453 at Barton-in-Fabis in Nottinghamshire in 2001.

Money is in aid of the East Midlands Ambulance Service and this year’s renewal made £1,032 to take the total raised past the landmark £10,000 point.
