PHOTO ALBUM MEMORIES 1930s: Travelling ice-cream sellers

A FORMER smallholding on part of what is now Hucknall's Welbeck Estate is the scene of the latest in our ever-popular PHOTO ALBUM MEMORIES series.

Loaned by Charles Goodman (84), of Lime Tree Road, who is a consistent contributor to the series, the picture dates from before the Second World War.

The people on the photo include members of a family who made ice-cream and sold it by travelling around Hucknall on a horse and cart.

Charles's father, George Goodman, is in the middle on the front row. The dogs look as if they are waiting to be released for a run around the smallholding.
