ALL aboard! That's the call for a consultation event focusing on a multi-million pound regeneration masterplan for Hucknall town centre.
For the two-day event will be held on a traditional, red double-decker bus parked on Market Place.

Residents are invited to pop along and have their say between 11 am and 3 pm on Friday July 11 and Saturday July 12.

At the hub of ambitious plans to revamp the town centre is the £13 million inner bypass scheme being led by Notts County Council. But this is only one aspect of a facelift that has already started on Market Place.

The aim is to lay down a blueprint for the progression of the town centre over the next 15 to 20 years.

Ashfield District Council have commissioned Manchester-based urban designers and planners URBED to prepare the masterplan.

During the consultation, Ashfield Council would also like views on the relocation of murals currently brightening up dilapidated business premises on Baker Street.

Once work starts on the town-centre improvement-scheme, these will have to be removed, so a suitable, alternative site is being sought.
