A MOTHER has been re-united with her six babies after undergoing a tricky operation.
But this mum is, in fact........... Spike the hedgehog who was found badly injured on Leen Drive in Hucknall.

She had apparently been attacked by a predator who pulled off all the skin on her face.

The delicate surgery to rebuild the little creature's face, involving a skin graft, was carried out by vet Jonathan Hadley at the Buckley House surgery on West Street, Hucknall.

He said: "This was certainly something a bit different. Unfortunately, one of the hedgehog's eyes had to be removed but she seems to be making a good recovery."
