Beer festival offers trip around the world

VISITORS to a Hucknall pub will be able to go around the world in 40 ales during a 19-day beer festival being held later this month.

The event, which begins on Wednesday October 24, is taking place at The Pilgrim Oak on High Street, and will feature beers from Japan, Lithuania, Holland, Australia, Canada, Italy, the USA and Belgium as well as beers from across the UK.

Pub manager, Peter Sverdloff, said: “The festival will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of UK and international beers.

“Many of the beers on offer have not been available in the pub beforehand and I am looking forward to serving them.”

Speciality beers and beers brewed exclusively for the pub will be on offer during the festival, which ends on November 11. The UK beers on sale will include Thwaites Crafty Devil and Banks’ Howling Wolf.
