Cheeses and home-made wine tickles circle’s tastebuds

THE latest meeting of HUCKNALL WINE CIRCLE took the form of a cheese and wine evening.

A cheese buffet was organised by Mary Grimshaw and members praised her efforts as ‘fantastic’.

Mary was accorded a big vote of thanks for her tasty display, with a dozen different types of tasty cheeses to choose from.

Together with an assortment of home-made wine, it made for a very pleasant evening.

On the business side of the meeting, plans were finalised for the circle’s autumn dance to be held at Leen Mills Primary School, Hucknall, on Saturday October 20.

The circle’s next meeting is at Hucknall National Church of England Academy next Monday (September 17), when a competition for the best rose wine will take place.
