Free gym pass for 16-to-25-year-olds

YOUNG people are being given the opportunity to take advantage of a free membership scheme at Hucknall Leisure Centre’s gym.

Throughout October, all the Everyone Active run leisure centres in Ashfield, including Hucknall’s on Linby Road, are launching a new initiative for young adults aged 16-25.

The initiative, which is being run in conjunction with Ashfield District Council and Sport Nottinghamshire, is to offer six weeks of gym membership completely free of charge to people between the ages of 16 and 25. The six week period can start anytimeup to Wednesday October 31.

“We would like to help this age group in Ashfield get more active and see real benefits from it by offering them a six week free membership,” said a spokesman for Everyone Active. “This will hopefully demonstrate to them how great it is to be a member of a leisure centre.”
