Star in your own version of Nativity

DID you always want to be Mary or Joseph in your school Nativity production but always ended up being one of the stable animals?

Or did you dream of playing an angel or a star but ended up as the horrible King Herod?

Well your dreams of taking a starring role in your very own portrayal of the Nativity scene can now be realised thanks to Churches Together in Hucknall, Linby and Papplewick.

The idea is for people to go along to Central Methodist Church in Hucknall, dress up as their favourite Nativity character, have their picture taken and then use the images as they like.

“It is thought our Get in the Picture event is a good opportunity for anyone who always wanted a part in a Nativity play to have their hopes realised,” said Sally Wyatt. “It’s just a bit of fun for all the family to get involved in and then they can use the photographs on Facebook, Christmas cards or send them to friends.”

If you want to take part, visit Central Methodist Church foyer, opposite Hucknall Market Place, during the following times: today (Friday) and next Friday (December 14) from 11 am-1.30 pm and tomorrow (Saturday) and Saturday December 15 from 10 am to 12 midday.

“Don’t miss the chance to capture your family in your very own Nativity scene and spread goodwill and bring smiles to the faces of your loved ones,” added Sally.

“And don’t forget to bring your cameras or mobile phones to capture the image for your use,” added Sally. “It’s a great, fun way to spread the Christmas message and send your festive greetings to those near or far.”
