PENSIONERS came in from the cold to enjoy a ‘Winter Warmer’ lunch laid on by HUCKNALL INNER WHEEL CLUB.

More than 80 visitors, aged 73 and above, flocked to the free event, which featured a menu of vegetable soup and roll, followed by fruit crumble for dessert.

Entertainment was provided by Coun Kevin Rostance (Con), a Hucknall member of Notts County Council and Hucknall Rotary Club, who told jokes, while his son, Phil Rostance, performed music.

The annual attraction was again held at the Central Methodist Church on Baker Street. Floral arrangements were presented to the most elderly guests, including three women in their 90s.

Inner Wheel president Brenda Ward hailed the event a success.
