But opponents Ellerslie stood firm at the death to win by one wicket as their last pair of Jurgen Charlesworth and Phil Lafbery managed to squeeze out the ten runs required.
The Rolls cause wasn't helped by an extras column reading 27 and the result leaves the under-achieving locals struggling near the foot of the table after their batting had once again let them down.
