VOLUNTEERS are needed to help give Hucknall Town's Watnall Road ground a spruce up in time for the new season.
Anyone who wants to help the club get the ground and its buildings into shape should report to the ground at 9 am tomorrow (Saturday).

It will be the last opportunity for the time being to get the ground ready for the new Blue Square North campaig
n as Town's pre-season fixtures get under way a week tomorrow when Blue Square Premier side
Mansfield Town visit Watnall Road (3 pm kick off).

The club's general manager, Dave Green, wants people to come along and do general jobs such as painting, cleaning seats, weeding and cleaning the changing rooms.

Town's commercial manager, Simon Matters, said: "It will be the last clean-up operation until further notice because the pre-season games start the following Saturday.

"So if anyone wants to come and help, it would be much appreciated.

"And although it will be on a voluntary basis, there will be something along the lines of a free match-ticket for those who come along and help out."

The club are also on the lookout for three matchday stewards. The applicants will receive full training in safety and stewardship and will be paid on a per-game basis. They will also get free entry to The
Yellows' home matches.

If you are interested, pop along to the club and speak to matchday security officer John Glover or call Matters on 07795 620655.
