A DEDICATED duo are celebrating after completing a total of 52 years' service at Annie Holgate Nursery School in Hucknall.
Janet Tilford (52), of Hucknall, is a former pupil of the High Leys Road school and has worked there for 27 years in two stints either side of having two sons.

While colleague Nicola Morgan (45), of Gedling, has completed 25 years' service after applying for a nursery-nurse job at the school at the age of 20.

Janet first worked at the school from 1975 to 1979 and then returned in 1985. She is currently the inclusion development manager and works to support children with special needs.

Nicola started as a trainee nursery-nurse and is currently a teaching assistant.

To celebrate their long service, both received £100 from Notts County Council and enjoyed a meal with other staff members at a restaurant in Nottingham.

Janet said: "The best bit about the school is the children and parents, who are really supportive. It's a lovely place to be. We have always had a good group of staff and long may it continue."
