DRUGS and a safe, stolen during a break-in at a dental surgery, have been found on an allotment in Bulwell.
Thieves raided the Grangewood Dental Practice on Bramcote Lane, Wollaton at about 6.25 am on Monday (November 9).
They made off with the safe, which contained a wide variety of potentially harmful medical drugs and a number of prescription pads.
It is believed two burglars carried out the raid and escaped on a small, silver hatchback car.
Shortly before 10 am, the safe and most of the stolen drugs were found at the allotment near Willow Hill Close.
However 13 vials of Midazolam – a controlled sedative – each containing 5ml, pads and a total of 300 prescriptions, remain missing.
The Nottingham City Primary Care Trust have been informed of the theft. Chemists have also been alerted to ensure these prescriptions cannot be used.
Insp Steve Payne, of the police, said: "The outstanding stolen drugs are potentially harmful to anyone who consumes them and we want them returned as soon as possible.
"I urge anyone who has any information about these drugs, or the offenders, to give the police a call immediately on 0300 300 9999."
