THE SILKY-smooth vocals of Newstead Abbey Singers will ring out at two festive concerts lined up for the coming week.
The group will take to the stage at the Trinity Methodist Church in Mansfield Woodhouse on Saturday (December 10).
But looming large on the horizon is their annual Christmas concert, which is to hit the high notes at St John’s Church in Carrington, Nottingham on Saturday December 17.
A Yuletide atmosphere will greet an event entitled ‘And There Was Light’.
An eclectic mix of carols will range from traditional favourites, such as ‘Silent Night’, to more modern offerings, with musical director Nicholas Thorpe leading the way.
Audience members will be invited to sing along, while mince pies and festive treats will help the Christmas spirit flow.
Tickets are on sale now.
