Appeal after cars taken in raids

POLICE are appealing for information after a number of burglaries in which cars were taken from two separate properties.

On Friday October 5, a mobile phone and car key were stolen from a house on Long Hill Rise, Hucknall. A blue Mondeo car was also taken but was recovered the same night.

On Tuesday October 9, a house on Brixham Road, Hucknall was entered through the back door and a handbag and car keys were taken, together with a black Vauxhall Insignia vehicle, which has not yet been found.

A lawn mower and two petrol cans were among items stolen from a shed on the Annesley Road allotments, Hucknall on Sunday October 7. On the same night, when a shed on the Garden Road Allotments in Hucknall was also broken into and a silver radio, spirit level and three-pronged garden tool stolen.

Hand tools were stolen from a Vauxhall Vivaro van on Taupo Drive, Hucknall on Monday October 8 and a parked Volvo car was scratched along both nearside doors while parked in the Aldi car park, Ashgate Road, Hucknall, on October Friday 5.
