TEENAGERS in Hucknall who are looking for apprenticeships are being urged to contact Nottingham and Nottingham Futures ahead of National Apprenticeship Week
Nottingham and Nottingham Futures is the leading careers and advice service (replacing the old Connexions) and is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the economy.
The advice service also runs the Futures Apprenticeship Agency which works with businesses around Nottinghamshire to provide apprenticeship opportunities.
There is a range of apprenticeship opportunities which have been created for young people across many sectors including business, construction, customer services, mechanics, children’s nurseries, health care, youth work and in libraries to name but a few.
There are three levels of apprenticeship which are intermediate level apprenticeships - the equivalent to GCSE A-C grades.
Advanced apprenticeships are the equivalent to A-Levels and higher apprenticeships are equivalent to HND/foundation degrees.
Apprenticeships are principally aimed at 16-19-year-olds, but there are opportunities available for 19-24-year-olds and over 24-year-olds.
For more information about the Futures Apprenticeship Agency, visit www.futuresnn.co.uk, email askfuturesnn.co.uk or call 0115 910 1597.
The sixth annual National Apprenticeships Week starts on Monday.
