A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in Spain in connection with the murder of Bulwell man Danny Parekh.
The arrest follows liaison between Nottinghamshire Police and authorities in Spain.
The man was detained in Malaga under a European Arrest Warrant and is awaiting extradition to the UK.
Danny Parekh, 21, died from a stab wound to the leg after he was found in a park, just off Oakleigh Street, on the Bulwell/Basford border on Sunday July 8.
He was rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre after residents living close by raised the alarm but died from his injuries.
A 22-year-old man has also been charged with assisting an offender in connection with the inquiry.
Julian Davey, of Camomile Close, Bulwell, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 20 July) where he was remanded into custody.
Officers in Nottinghamshire have also arrested three other people in connection with the murder.
A 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of witness intimidation and a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both men have been bailed pending further enquiries.
A 15-year-old boy arrested in connection with the murder remains on bail.
