A BULWELL-based company has every reason to say ‘Cheers’ as a toast to an international success.

ASIANA LTD of Dabell Avenue on the Blenheim Industrial Estate, was awarded two gold stars for its pan-Asian beer, Siam Gold (pictured), at an event in Brussels.

This was a ‘superior taste’ award ceremony held by the International Taste and Quality Institute (ITQi).

A jury praised Siam Gold across all five evaluation criteria — first impression, vision, olfaction, taste and retro-olfaction — and the beer received an impressive final mark of 87.3 per cent.

Asiana managing director Sam Sangha said: “We’ve found that a growing number of people are seeking beers from around the world. Therefore we’ve invested time developing the distinctive taste of Siam Gold and we are thrilled with this award.”

Siam Gold is a premium, light-tasting smooth beer and it fits in with the expanding palate of Asiana customers for oriental food and drink. The firm’s other oriental beer is Beijing Gold.
