A HUCKNALL charity shop has handed over a cheque for £250 to Indigo Kids.

High Street based Hope Charitique, which is run by volunteers from the Crossroads Church, give a percentage of their shop profits to local good causes.

This time it was a support group for families with children who have autism spectrum difficulties who benefited from their generous donation.

“Indigo Kids’ premises is used as a youth club, toddler group and drop-in centre for support, and is run solely by volunteers,” explained Crossroads Pastor, Sabra Pickering.

Michelle Knighton and Tina McHargue, who both received the cheque, are both involved in the work of Indigo Kids themselves, and rely on donations to help keep the support work going.

Pastor Pickering added: “We look forward to continuing success and being able to help another cause in the near future.”
