TWO balloons that travelled from Cheshire all the way to Hucknall have helped inflate a charity event in aid of children in Africa.
A balloon race was a feature of the village fair in Neston, which is a small town near Chester.
Each balloon released had a ticket attached. The one returned from the location furthest away was crowned the winner. Two tickets were returned from Hucknall.
Overall, the fair and balloon race raised £2,300 in aid of the charity Overseas Aid for the Kids of Sierra Leone (OAKS).
The organisation aims to provide a brighter future for the youngsters of the country by providing access to daily meals, healthcare and education.
