Families, friends, colleagues and others are being invited to spend a night sleeping rough to help support homeless and vulnerable people.

Homelessness charity Framework will be holding its annual Mansfield Big Snore on the evening of Friday, March 11, at Mansfield Town FC.

Participants will expose themselves to the elements outside the One Call Stadium to support people affected by homelessness in the Mansfield area.

Now in its 12th year, The Big Snore has become an incredibly popular challenge event from extremely humble beginnings at St Mark’s church, where it began with two friends sleeping out.

Participants can expect a night of fantastic entertainment from local musicians, fun activities, warm hearty food and great prizes to be won at this year’s Box Factor competition – a competition testing cardboard creativity, will also grow in size, prowess, and be one not to miss!

Every penny raised will reach individuals who face, or have faced homelessness in Mansfield. The proceeds will be used to encourage vulnerable people to take steps away from instability and towards a more positive and enjoyable life within the community.

Framework Events and Community Officer, Sarah Cross said: “The Big Snore is such an important event to our charity and always receives strong support from the local community. It helps raise money for a very important cause and is also great fun. It is a real family event and always has a great atmosphere. Taking part in the Big Snore is truly an experience to remember and I look forward to welcoming people to this year’s event.”
