A HUCKNALL pensioner who was missing from her home for a fortnight has been found safe and well — on the Isle of Wight.
The police launched an appeal for help in tracing June Watson-Parkinson, who was last seen at home at 9 am on Thursday April 5.
A friend of the 67-year-old, Rosemary Wagg, also made an emotional plea for her to make contact.
She was found on Thursday (April 19) at St Mary’s Hospital in Newport on the island.
Miss Watson-Parkinson is understood to have caught a Nottingham-bound tram at Hucknall’s main town-centre tram-staion on April 5.
She then boarded an East Midlands Trains service in Nottingham before being spotted leaving St Pancras train station in London at 7.35 pm later that same day.
Police say it is out of character for Miss Watson-Parkinson to break contact with friends. She has a number of medical conditions but is believed to have not taken her medication with her.
