A WOMAN had to be cut from her vehicle after a road smash in Hucknall on Tuesday afternoon.
The injured driver was in a parked Land Rover 4x4 on Wighay Road. The vehicle was hit from behind by a small coach.
Firefighters were called to the scene just before 4 pm and used specialist equipment to free her.
There was no-one else in the vehicle at the time and the driver of the coach, which wasn’t carrying any passengers. was uninjured.
The woman was chatting to firefighters and even made a mobile-phone call from the Land Rover. She was taken to King’s Mill Hospital, Sutton-in-Ashfield, for a check-up but only suffered minor injuries.
The road was closed while police recovered the vehicles and it caused traffic chaos during rush hour.
