Oustanding teamwork and “brilliant community support” were the key ingredients of Bulwell St Mary’s annual Christmas Fair fundraiser which brought in a rewarding £1,800.
Months of planning and preparation by the church’s social team paid handsome dividends and the turn-out for the popular event exceeded all expectations.
Father Andy Nicolls said: “It is all down to our dedicated social team and an army of volunteers who have helped to make this year’s event one of the best ever.
“Children as young as five and adults in their 80s have worked alongside each other for the good of the church.”
Church stalwart Jillian Naylor said: “ A great deal of hard work and pre-planning has played its part in what has been a wonderful community event.
“The money we have raised will go towards church funds and projects that benefit the local community.”
