BUS passengers who use the 228 service between Hucknall Library, Bestwood Village and Bulwell will notice changes to their usual service.
Nottingham-based bus company PREMIERE has now taken over the running of this route thanks to financial backing from Notts County Council.
This bus service runs every hour from Monday through to Saturday during the day.
“As this route now joins the Premiere network, the usual great value Premiere fares and tickets are available,” said a spokeman. “All our unlimited travel tickets allow through-travel onto the Red8 from Hucknall High Street, providing a link to City Hospital and Nottingham.
“We will also be offering our ‘change-to-tram’ ticket, meaning customers can use the 228 and transfer to the NET tram network at Hucknall or Bulwell.”
A day’s unlimited travel on the 228 and trams with this ticket costs £3.60 for adults or £2 for under 16s.
From Sunday September 30, the Red8 is changing with buses linking to the 228 at Hucknall Library to provide a through service.
The new 228 timetable is now available to download from www.premierebuses.co.uk.
The site also allows you to keep in touch through your mobile as well as Twitter for all the latest news and views and to purchase tickets.
