Camping out to learn about science

Over 150 youngsters from local primary schools spent a night camping at Bulwell Academy to learn about science.

The camp, now in its fourth year, saw a team of year ten academy students support the younger children in a bid to build their confidence and raise self-esteem.

An environmental workshop on Bulwell Hall Park was run by Bulwell Community Toy Library, a science busking session was laid on, while Bulwell EAZ provided camping equipment and meals. The Sheriff of Nottingham, Coun Jackie Morris, presented the year ten students with certificates.
