Car thieves steal windshields from 4x4

The windshields on both the driver and passenger side front windows of a Suzuki Jimny were stolen, some time between 10am on Monday December 14 and 10am on Wednesday 16 in Sandy Lane.

It was one of five thefts from vehicles reported in Hucknall during the seven days to Thursday, December 17.

The driver’s side window of a Vauxhall car was smashed and the car’s log book was stolen at 9.05pm on Monday, December 14, in Croft Avenue.

A handbag containing a purse and bank cards was stolen from a VW EOS parked on Laughton Crescent when the front passenger side window was smashed, sometime between 5.25pm and 6.05pm on Wednesday, December 16.

A mobile phone was stolen from a works van on Portland Road, at 9pm while the owner was working.

Cash was stolen and the centre console damaged when thieves broke into a Mercedes 220 Estate, parked in Beardall Street, between 5.50pm and 6.30pm on Monday December 14.
