A 19-YEAR-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving in connection with a crash in Papplewick in which a teenager was killed.
Kyle Dooley (18), of Top Valley, died after the silver Vauxhall Vectra he was a passenger in left Forest Lane and crashed into bales of hay.
The crash happened on Monday May 9 at 11.50 pm. Mr Dooley was pronounced dead at the scene and no other vehicles were involved.
Now Jake Fretwell, of Edern Gardens, Top Valley, has been charged with causing Mr Dooley’s death.
He is also charged with burglary and theft of the Vauxhall Vectra involved in the crash from an address in Redhill.
Fretwell will also face counts of driving while disqualified and handling stolen goods — namely a bronze bell which is alleged to have been stolen from St Philips Church in Top Valley on Tuesday April 26.
Fretwell has been bailed to appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday November 29.
