ENTERPRISING members of Hucknall Round Table were right on track with a fundraising initiative for BBC Children In Need.
They raised a total of £2,500 with collections at Nottingham railway station and the city-based Collins Cash And Carry company, which donated £1,000.
More than 20 members collected in shifts round the clock — from 7 am to 7 pm — and then made their way to Loughborough University for a televised event in which they presented a cheque for the amount they had raised.
“We have now appeared on TV three times as a result of our support for Children In Need,” said a Table spokesman. The Table has built up quite a name for itself through its stimulating ideas to raise money for charity.
