SANTA Claus wasn’t on the guest list. But a Christmas-themed fundraiser at the Green Dragon pub in Hucknall certainly delivered the perfect present.
For the event earned almost £200 for the charity Children’s Happiness Involves People (CHIPS). The money will help pay for specially-powered wheelchairs for disabled youngsters.
CHIPS is the charity supported by the gaming industry, and the fundraiser was organised by James Godson, manager of the Cashino amusement arcade on Hucknall High Street.
The pub on Watnall Road was festooned with Christmas decorations for the event, with a centrepiece being a giant, inflatable Homer Simpson, dressed as Santa!
There was festive karaoke and a giant raffle, with several of the prizes wrapped up as Chritmas presents.
James thanked everyone at the Dragon and all those who donated raffle prizes for their support.
