THE BIG top has arrived in Hucknall with Planet Circus set to wow audiences from Saturday (February 19).
Families are invited to roll up for a two-hour thrill-ride that includes daredevil acts never before seen in the UK.
The family-run circus has pitched its tent on the field at the bottom of Hucknall bypass at its junction with Hucknall Lane in Bulwell.
One of the headline acts is the ‘Globe Of Death’, which includes Europe’s youngest stunt motorbike-rider — a boy aged just 11.
Among the other adrenalin-fuelled acts are the sensational Sky Riders, who fly high above the heads of the audience and into the roof of the big top.
The dangerous ‘Wheel Of Death’ and sensational Thunderball stunt-riders are also ready to impress.
Something on offer for everyone includes jugglers, crazy trampoline-wrestlers and everyone’s favourite clown, Chico Rico, who hails from the famous Billy Smart’s Circus.
Direct from Mexico, death-defying high-wire walker Marco Polo will perform 30 feet above the main ring.
Organisers want families to go along to the circus, forget about the credit crunch and run away with Planet Circus for an afternoon or evening of pure fun.
Shows are running until Sunday February 27. There are two performances on weekdays (3 pm and 7 pm), two on Saturdays (2.30 pm and 6 pm) and two on Sundays (1 pm to 3 pm). There are no shows on Wednesday February 23.
Tickets and discount vouchers are available from the on-site circus booking office.
