A COMMEMORATIVE medal was presented to every youngster at Annesley Primary School as the culmination of an action-packed Diamond Jubilee celebration.

The event on Forest Road, Annesley Woodhouse had a red, white and blue theme, with youngsters and teachers dressing up.

Entertainment included a clown and circus-skills workshops.

The party was laid on by the school’s Parents4Pupils group. Activities were led by the Ashwood Church, of Kirkby.

There was a bouncy castle, face-painting, balloon-modelling and a visit from the fire service. Teachers even volunteered to enter the stocks to be pelted with wet sponges.
