Hucknall’s Rolls-Royce Leisure has won a major accolade.
The Watnall Road-based club took the Community Club of the Year at the recent Club Mirror awards, held in Manchester.
More than 100 clubs, ranging from social, leisure, working men’s and sports clubs joined together to highlight their achievements at the 22nd annual awards event.
Leisure Club manager, Chris Mellard-Sibley said said: “Winning the community award means the most to us, as it highlights the on-going work we have done and will continue to do within our community.
“Whether we are encouraging young people to get into football, providing a safe venue for children’s parties or working with locally-based charities we have always strived to support those living in the local area.”
The Club Mirror is a publication which has been serving the UK’s licensed clubs for over 45 years.
Rolls-Royce Leisure was originally built for the employees of the Rolls-Royce PLC Plant, but also opens its doors to businesses and the public alike.
The club has a traditional leisure club feel but also has much more to offer providing affordable conferencing, party and social space for businesses and public alike.
It also is the home ground for the successful Hucknall Rolls-Royce football team, who are near the top of the table this season, alongside the 300 members of the junior soccer club.
