Kind hearted cops have raised more than £300 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Officers donated the cash following the Sheffield District Police Awards held on 27 February at the City Hall.

A total of £313 was raised during a collection on the night and was handed over to representatives from the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity on Thursday 12 March.

Chief Superintendent David Hartley, District Commander for Sheffield, said: “The awards were a celebration of the hard work officers do on a daily basis and those there on the night were keen to give something back.

“I am delighted we can make this small contribution towards this worthy local cause and I would like to thank my officers and staff for their generosity on the night.”
