MEMBERS of the Ashfield Weavers and Spinner Guild, Zoe Langton and Frankie Hoherty (pictured right), put on a display at a craft fair held at Hucknall’s John Godber Centre.

Louise Hart from Violetta Handmade Crafts and Supplies organised the event and invited craftspeople from across the area to hold stalls.

“It was a great day and I managed to attract a variety of craftspeople giving visitors a selection of gifts to choose from,” said Louise. “I hope to run one at the centre every three months as a way of giving Hucknall shoppers something different.”

The next Craft Fair will be held on March 2.

A date not to be missed at TheJohn Godber Centre is a Michael Buble tribute black tie show next Friday (November 9).

Tickets are £10 each with all proceeds going to the Help for Heroes fund.

Gareth Severn of Gold Shield Entertainment (who organised Shamfest for Cancer Research in August) is joint organiser of the event and local business, Spangle Chair Covers, is decorating the room for free to make the event extra special.

Gareth said: “We’re hoping for a large turnout for this event, which is held over Remembrance weekend and raise lots of money for this important cause.” — DISPIC NHUD12-2715-2.
